We will observe Japan from 1600 to 1868, focusing on various perspectives from the society of the Tokugawa years—also known as the Edo period. Learn Quechua through FIU Study Abroad

For those interested in learning Quechua, the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center offers the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for participation in a FLAS approved Summer Study Abroad program for training in Quechua. The fellowship provides a tuition and stipend award to students participating in language and area studies training.

A monumental step in making FIU a more inclusive school for our Indigenous students while recognizing the need to make things right and set the record straight for Indigenous Peoples' globally. FIU is to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day annually on the second Monday of October. Accomplished through the continuing efforts of the members of the student club, the Global Indigenous Group.
