Ainu My Voice: Film Viewing and Discussion

Join the Global Indigenous Forum, Masako Kubota of the FIU Asian Studies Program and Miss Florida Seminole 2019-2021(Seminole Tribe)for a film viewing of Ainu My Voice and a short NHK clip on Ainu peoples and traditions. The 45 min film, Ainu My Voice, is about a modern Ainu woman and her attempts to find a balance between modern life and her Ainu traditional practices. There will be a post viewing discussion on Ainu indigenous issues in Japan and related Seminole perspectives.
