FIU Global Indigenous Forum Internship Intern would gain leadership and management skills, as well as sensitivity to Indigenous cultural values and concerns. Assists GIF Director with event and committee logistics, web and media communications, faculty and student club relations, and related duties. Twenty hours per week.
Intern Qualifications Current FIU student who qualifies for Federal Work Study. Interest in Indigenous studies. Good human relations, English writing and editing skills.
FIU Global Indigenous Forum Mission and Vision The mission of the Global Indigenous Forum is to bring global Indigenous issues, voices and awareness to the FIU campus, South Florida and world community through activities, research and academic programs. Founded in 2013, this university-wide initiative envisions FIU to be known as a welcoming institution for Indigenous faculty, staff, students and Indigenous peoples from local, regional and worldwide communities.
