For those interested in learning Quechua, the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center offers the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for participation in a FLAS approved Summer Study Abroad program for training in Quechua. The fellowship provides a tuition and stipend award to students participating in language and area studies training. The FLAS Fellowship is also available during the 2017-2018 Academic Year for full-time, FIU degree-seeking graduate students who plan to enroll in Quechua courses in the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters.
