“All Nations Coming Together,” the theme of the 5th Annual FIU Indigenous Celebration builds on our prior Celebration focused on "Planting Seeds for the Future Seven Generations." Nations, tribes, communities, and organizations will express their history and heritage as ways to make a better world. People of Miccosukee, Seminole, Quechua, Ainu, Carib, student clubs, faculty, community organizations and others join us to share successes, histories, wisdoms and perspectives. Spokespersons and facilitators will lead us in dance, song, storytelling and interactive learning about contemporary issues to keep everyone engaged. Wear traditional attire. Free and welcome to the public, especially tribal members, families, students and faculty. Snacks will be available. Please join us for celebration, insight and engagement as we recognize our common values for land, territory, cultural preservation, and a good living.

Saturday, October 7, the Grand Entry starts at 6:30 pm in the Graham Center Ballrooms and the grand finale ends 9:30 pm. Each group is asked to bring their staff, flag or banner representing their nation, tribe, community, or organization.

Sunday, October 8, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm in Graham Center room 280, continues with workshops on focusing on future ways to be involved, and to contribute as engaged empowered citizens.

Co-sponsored by the FIU Global Indigenous Forum (GIF), the student club, Global Indigenous Group (GIG),and the Council of Student Organizations (CSO).
